Troubleshooting

My cistern is slow to fill, overfills or leaks - what do I do?

If you are experiencing a cistern that is filling slowly, overfilling or leaking, this is most likely caused by the inlet valve, also known as the fill valve, and it is likely that this part needs replacing.

Spare parts can be purchased here. As a guide, our close-coupled toilet cisterns use a bottom-entry inlet valve (code SP5A). The F6CC concealed cistern for back-to-wall and wall-hung toilets uses SP831. A back-entry conversion kit (SP511) is also available if your supply enters from behind.

Locate your toilet on our spares website to find the compatible part. Once received, install the new inlet valve following the installation instructions supplied with the cistern. These can also be found on the corresponding product page on our website under the ‘Downloads’ tab.
