What should I check when adjusting my shower door?
If your shower door is not closing properly, this is often caused by misalignment or fatigue. A door hitting the frame, sagging or dropping, or noticeable gaps between the seals can be remedied by adjusting or realigning your shower door. Complete the following steps to adjust your door:
- Check that both the top and bottom rollers or hinges are secure
- Adjust the roller height or hinge tension until the door aligns vertically
- Inspect seals for wear and tear; replace if they no longer hold contact
- Ensure no debris is trapped in the roller tracks
- Clean all contact surfaces and re-test
DO NOT force a misaligned door shut, as it can shatter the glass.
